I'm a journalist in my real life. I spent fifteen years writing for a bunch of local newspapers, then moved over to the business journalism side of the business, which I prefer. For one? No more all night election shifts and no sewer board meetings to cover. Thank God. I'm a long-time fan of fan fiction of multiple genres, and wrote in a few in bits and pieces, but then along came House and my writing took off.

I live in Ann Arbor, Mich., where I also get to indulge in my other major love -- outside of writing -- namely music. I volunteer for a music venue here which gives me a chance to see concerts all the time, for free, and get exposure to music I'd never hear otherwise. Of course Ann Arbor also exposes me to the misery that is cheering for a Big 10 school.
