I live in Nebraska, so am pretty much forced to hear about football constantly. (Game days are nightmares; my friend works downtown by the stadium, and she has to pay $10 for parking almost every Saturday. I think she's actually losing money like this.) Everyone here is obsessed with the Huskers (even though, from what I've heard, we're just absolutely awful this year). Luckily, I have the nifty ability to retain only about 10% of what I'm told, so I still know very little about football. Reading this series has literally given me more insight into the game than living in Lincoln my whole life.

The thought of a detached retina is really frightening. That just does not sound pleasant.
