That is heartbreaking and absolutely true. I've always wondered myself if House and Stacy stayed together as long as they did because the relationship had never had to deal with any of the big events in life.
I love the banter with a bite between House and Wilson in this series, and also how House's subconsciousness is filtering itself through Crandall. In addition to creating a fascinating look at that barely mentioned part of House's past as a musician, you've done a beautiful job answering the question of why Wilson stays, which became especially relevant after "Merry Little Christmas."
