Giza

It smells like camel, camel droppings and car exhaust fumes. Depending on wind direction there might also be the distinct smell of garbage dumps. And even more exhaust fumes. All at at about 100 °F.
By the way, there is no shade around or near the pyramids at noon, seriously, none. Except maybe inside the burial vaults that are scattered around. Which have the bonus of extra smell: mould and pee and unwashed human. And camel dung, of course.
But it is a dream after all. Does not have to be realistic. I admit _I_ have dreamt of shade at Giza.

- who really loves Cairo and esp. the pyramid site, despite the smell :-)
