Thanks. In terms of religion, I can see John as a believer, but not a church goer. I can picture them as having attended church on occasion when Greg was young -- so he'd be "raised right" but not with the faith of a true believer. I can see the Marines as his religion. He has faith in the military -- sort of in the sense that you say your prayers before battle, but put your trust in an air strike. I think he'd define himself as a "Christian," but would find it hard to commit to a regularly attending a service.
